the leaf machine closer to fall. Council agreed. The bid for the East Russell

once a decision is made we can proceed with the plans for Oak Street project.
Police Chief
– The Mayor swore in 3 new part time officers last week, Scott Demeter, Earl
Russell and Craig Reveal. The Chief presented the monthly police report for
February to council that is attached to and made part of these minutes. Calls
were down in February. He is preparing an application to the Coshocton Foundation
for grant money to purchase a new radar unit and possible a new computer.
The radar unit is almost 20 years old and the computer is reached its capacity
for handling data.
Annexation (Lusk) – Continuing to work with J. Ronhausen and J.
Dawson on North end survey/petition.
Fire (Lusk) – Considerable discussion about Ord. 65-99 and
the billing for fire calls. It was the general consensus that code 4’s should
be charged for but there was differing opinions about structure fire and most
everyone agreed while the village had the right to charge for all runs these
were the only two that should be charged. It was decided that the ordinance
did need to be revised and clarify and was referred to the ordinance committee
after which there needed to be a written collection policy.
Pool (Rogers) – The committee met 3-8-01 and reviewed the
revenue and expenditures for the 2000 season. It was close to a break-even
season after discounting the one-time repairs. He will be applying to the
Coshocton Foundation Aquatic Division for grant money for the purchase of
a new ice machine and possibly some other equipment.
Chamber Rep.
