Minutes of West Lafayette Village Council Regular Meeting
on November 26, 2001
38-2001 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FIRE PROTECTION
AND EMERGENCY SERVICES TO POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS PURSUANT TO O.R.C. SEC. 9.60
WITHOUT PRE-EXISTING CONTRACTS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. A motion was made
and seconded to suspend the rule. (R.C. 6 yes) A motion was made and seconded
to adopt Res. 38-2001. (R.C. 6 yes)
Reports:
Village Administrator – Phase
3 is still behind schedule with the pipe being laid and the hydrants to be
set next. The line will be pressure tested and disinfected after that and
then the taps will be connected. A public hearing will be held Tuesday,
November 27, 2001, at 5:30 P.M. in the council chambers for the ground contamination
removal project. This will be an informational meeting. The roof and building
projects will be completed this week.
Finance (Warne) – The finance
committee reviewed the financial reports for October 2001 and all information
looked in order.
Grant (Lusk) – Lusk attended
an Issue II meeting to review the upcoming county projects. Dale Hartle informed
VA that he should have some word on the funding for the River Front Estates
project by the end of this week. There will be a Greenspace committee meeting
to supply information and the application process for grant money.
Utility (Bordenkircher) – There
was a general discussion about water and sewer rates for 2002. It was the
general consensus that either the standard increase should be used or a little
more for sewer and no increase for water.
Clerk – Three invoices with then
and now certificates were presented (Ohio Municipal League, Coshocton Occupational
Med., and American Precision Surveying) to council for payment approval. A
motion was made and seconded to approve the payment of those three invoices.

Committee Meetings Set: Finance

A motion was made and seconded to hold the
second meeting of December 2001 on the third Monday of the month (December
17, 2001) in lieu of the forth (December 24, 2001). (R.C. 6 yes)
A motion was made and seconded to approve
payment of the bills as presented by the clerk. (R.C. 6 yes)
A motion was made and seconded to adjourn
until the next regular meeting on December 10, 2001, at 7 PM in the council
chambers. (R.C. 6 yes)
