AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH A 2 HOUR PARKING AREA FOR EASE OF BUSINESS ACCESS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

Whereas, a business has been established at 204 West Union Avenue, located in the school zone and residential area of West Union Avenue;

Whereas, the business owner has approached Village Council for the need of a 2 hour parking space for the patrons, to be located in front of said business.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF WEST LAFAYETTE, STATE OF OHIO as follows:

Section 1. That council has authorized a 2 hour parking area to be located in front of

204 West Union Avenue from the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Section 2. That the Village Administrator shall be and herewith authorized as the person

designated by Council pursuant to section 406.01, to install the traffic control

devices to establish the 2 hour parking area, and that such devices will be

erected to conform with the Ohio Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices

for Streets and Highways, as set forth in Ohio R.C. 4511.09.

Section 3. That the penalty for a violation of this ordinance shall be pursuant to Title

Eight, Chapter 452 of The Model Ohio Municipal Code.

Section 4. This Ordinance shall be and herewith is declared to be an emergency measure,

the emergency being a need to establish parking area for access to a business

which is located in a congested area. This Ordinance shall take effect upon

passage by council.
