A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OHIO REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TO FILE AN APPLICATION WITH THE STATE OF OHIO TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CLEAN OHIO REVITALIZATION FUND AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the State of Ohio, Department of Development, provides financial assistance to local governments for the purposes of addressing local needs;

WHEREAS, the Village of West Lafayette, Ohio wishes to participate in, and receive financial assistance for the Brownfield Assessment of the former Penn-Michigan Building and Brownfield Assessment at the Lagoon Site under the Clean Ohio Revitalization Fund and

WHEREAS, the Village of West Lafayette, Ohio wishes to direct and authorize the Ohio Regional Development Corporation to act in connection with said Program’s Application, and provides such additional information as may required.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the West Lafayette Village Council, West Lafayette, Ohio:

Section I      That the Village of West Lafayette authorizes the President of the Ohio Regional Development Corporation to file a Clean Ohio Council, Clean Ohio Revitalization Fund Application with the state of Ohio, Department of Development, and to provide all information and documentation required in said Application for submission.

Section II    That the Village of West Lafayette hereby approves the filing of said application.

Section III   That the Village of West Lafayette hereby understands and agrees that participation in said Program will require compliance with program guidelines and assurances.

Section IV   That the Village of West Lafayette hereby commits itself to provide its local share of funding, described in the application.

Section V    That, since this Resolution must be filed with the Ohio Department of Development, it is declared to be an emergency with respect to the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the Village of West Lafayette, Ohio, and therefore shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
