AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 88-30 AND 17-77 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF WEST LAFAYETTE, OHIO

 BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of West Lafayette, State of Ohio:

Section I:          That section 88-30 Building Regulations be and hereby amended as follows:

                        (d) the minimum construction permit fee for residential construction is $6.00 and the minimum permit fee for commercial construction is $10.00. Processing fee is $7.50. Commercial construction is $10.00 per 100 square feet. Residential construction is $6.00 per 100 square feet. Sidewalk, curb, or driveway fee is a flat $10.00. The permit shall be void if work is not commenced within one (1) year or completed within two and one-half (2½) years of issuance.

Section II:         A copy of the new application for a building permit is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. The definitions contained therein are adopted by reference and incorporated herein as though fully rewritten.

Section III:       All provisions of Ordinance 88-30 and 17-77 not amended herein shall remain in full force and effect.

Section IV:       That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, welfare and safety of the citizens of the Village of West Lafayette, Ohio. This ordinance shall therefore take effect and be in force immediately upon passage and approval by the Mayor.
