A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF WEST LAFAYETTE
TO MAKE
APPLICATION FOR OHIO PUBLIC WORKS
COMMISSION -
ROUND 18 FUNDING FOR THE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT
KNOWN AS COUNTY RESURFACING PROGRAM - 2004 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the
State of Ohio, Ohio Public Works Commission, provides financial assistance
to local governments for the purpose of addressing local needs; and
WHEREAS, the
Village of West Lafayette desires to participate in the Program with other
townships, cities, and the Coshocton County Engineer, who will serve as the
lead agency, to receive financial assistance; and
WHEREAS, the
Village Administrator and Clerk-Treasurer has the authority to apply for
financial assistance and to administrator the amounts received from the
State of Ohio, OPWC, County Resurfacing Program - 2004; and
WHEREAS, Mr.
Thomas V. Bradshaw, V/A and Mr. Bruce E. Fouch, C/T are hereby authorized to
act in connection with the application and to provide such additional
information as may be required;
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of West Lafayette,
State of Ohio, as follows:
Section I:
That Village Council authorizes Mr. Thomas V. Bradshaw and Mr. Bruce
E. Fouch as
the official representatives of the Village of West Lafayette to file the
said
application to
participate in the State of Ohio, OPWC Program, and provide all
information
and documentation required in said application for County Resurfacing
Program -
2004.
Section II:
That the Village Council hereby approves filing an application for financial
assistance in conjunction with other county local government entities, with
the Coshocton County Engineer serving as lead agency, under the OPWC - Round
18 funding for capital improvements.
Section III:
That the Village Council hereby understands and agrees that participation in
the Program will require compliance with program guidelines and assurance.
Section IV:
That the Village Council hereby commits itself to provide the match as
determined by the County Engineer, to be certified by the Village
Clerk/Treasurer.
Section V:
This resolution shall be declared an emergency measure, the emergency being
to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the Village
of West Lafayette, Ohio, and to meet the application deadline. Therefore
this resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
