Minutes of West Lafayette Village Council Regular Meeting on July 12, 2004

West Lafayette Village Council met in regular session at 7:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson presiding.

Pledge of Allegiance

Roll Call:          Dave Rogers, Roger Warne, Kelly Gossett, Ron Lusk, Christie Maurer and Stephen Bordenkircher were present.

A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the June 28, 2004 council meeting. (RC 5 yes. 1 Abstain)

Mayor’s Correspondence – Questionnaires received and passed to VA

Police                          N/A

Annexation                 Hearing set for August 4, 2004 at 10:00 am, Coshocton County Commissioners.  Lusk to confirm date and time.

Com. Service              N/A

Finance                       The committee has review the 2005 budget and held a public hearing for said proposed budget and now recommends the council approve the 2005 budget. A motion was made and seconded to approve the 2005 budget. (RC 6yes) The Clerk was instructed to file the budget with the county budget committee prior to the July 20^th deadline. The committee has reviewed and approved the June 2004 financial reports as presented by the Clerk. The county budget commission hearing for our budget is scheduled for August 11^th at 3 PM.

Planning Comm            Lusk presented  a copy of the Resolution of Cooperation from the Coshocton County Planning Commission.  A motion was made and seconded to adopt the Resolution. (RC 6 yes).

Pool                             Still needing a freezer

Chamber                     Homecoming.  Workers needed.

Utility                          Updates on Brownfield?  EPA now finished.

Zoning             N/A

Clerk’s                        Cathy from State Auditor’s office called to inform the Village that the State will be subcontracting for audit.  The village will receive a packet in the mail soon.

A motion was made and seconded to approve the payment of bills as presented.

(RC 6 yes)

A motion was made and seconded to adjourn until the next regular meeting on July 26, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. (RC 6 yes)
