West Lafayette Village Council met in regular session
at 7:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson
presiding.
Pledge of Allegiance

Call: Dave Rogers, Roger Warne, Kelly Gossett, Ron Lusk, Christie
Maurer and Stephen Bordenkircher were present.
A motion
was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the October 11, 2004 council
meeting. (RC 5 yes 1 Abstain)
Mayor’s
Correspondence – Memo regarding public hearing for JEDD’s - Franklin
Township – Conesville Elementary Nov. 17th 7:00 – 8:30 and
Tuscarawas Twp. – Coshocton County Career Center Nov. 18th 7:00 –
8:30.
Introduced Sabrina Mardis – college student from
Zane State observing government procedures.
Citizens’
comments – Gene Flinn – junk car concerns

A motion was made and seconded to suspend the
three reading rule. (RC 6 yes) A motion was made and seconded to adopt
Resolution 2004-22. (RC 6 yes)

Fire: Questions were asked regarding when fire
members will be paid and also completing W-4’s. Question was raised about
Chad Hains and fire pay.

Planning Commission: Public meeting held last
Monday. Heard discussion from both sides.
Pool: Pool has been winterized
Rep to Chamber of Commerce: Community Halloween
Party went well. Christmas parade set for December 4th. Last of
Christmas decorations have arrived and need painted.
Utility: N/A
Zoning: N/A
Clerk’s report: Received bill from State
Auditor’s office for audit prep. Reports from meetings attended. PERS
contribution for employees and employers going up.
Other
Business: Park has activities planned thru October 31. Winterized
after that date. Concerns voiced about 4th street paving
project. Problems with 400 block slope and very rough parts in the
street. Also the gas company dug a hole to fix a leak right after paving
was completed. VA to follow-up. Question regarding representative to
County Water and Sewer Board, Don Lusk is the Village representative.
