West Lafayette Village Council met in regular session
at 7:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson
presiding.

A motion
was made and seconded to approve the minutes as amended of the February 14,
2005 council meeting. (RC 6 yes)

Correspondence – FEMA- Disaster Relief Meeting March 1, 2005 at 5:00 pm at
Coshocton County Services Building.

Pool: Met last week to review options for 2005
season. Decided to operate this year (2005) Some options that are being
considered: Wage Freeze, Shorten season and operating hours during the day.
Tentative opening day June 6th. Was informed that pool will need
to be painted this year.
Rep to Chamber of Commerce: Dinner was very
good. Speaker was Ken Smailes.

Clerk’s report: Income Tax report comparing
years 2003-2005-2005. Also compares month to month collections. 2005 to 2004
down 1,492.42 in January; Up 4,459.98 in February. 2004 compared to 2003
down 5,673.70. Annual Cash Financial Report competed and to the State
Auditor’s Office. Completing legal ad for proposals for banking services.
Gave a copy of Newcomerstown Tax ordinance to the ordinance for review.

Other
Business: Discussion regarding the services of Mid-East Ohio Building
Department. It was the consensus of council that Mid-East need to conduct
themselves more professionally and courteous while in the Village. Also
need to communicate with Village Administrator. A motion was made and
seconded to retain the services of Mid-East Ohio Building Department. (RC 4
yes 2 no). Motion passed.
Discussion of options regarding vacant land/lots
owned by the Village.
A motion
was made and seconded to approve the payment of bills as presented.

next regular meeting on March 14, 2005 at 7:00 P.M. (RC 6 yes)
