Minutes of West Lafayette Village Council Regular Meeting on June 27, 2005

 

West Lafayette Village Council met in regular session at 7:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson presiding.

 

Pledge of Allegiance

 

Roll Call:          Dave Rogers, Roger Warne, Kelly Gossett, Ron Lusk, Christie Maurer and Stephen Bordenkircher were present.

 

A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the June 13, 2005 council meeting. (RC 6 yes)

 

Mayor’s Correspondence – Legislative Bulletin – Local Government Fund – village monies remain the same.  HB66 keeps village money with Local Government Fund ok through 2007.  Also mentions that Waste disposal fees may increase.  HB189- Changes to viscous dog laws.

 

Citizens’ comments – Lusk mentioned new Coshocton County Economic Industrial task force.  Asked for input on retaining and attracting industry.

 

Reports:

Village Administrator:  Information for liability insurance.  Met with Tom Metkie.  Premium is up $420.00.  Council voiced concern with curb painting.

Police:   N/A

Annexation:  N/A

Community Service:  N/A

Finance:  Met last week putting finishing touches on budget.  Budget hearing will be held July 11th at 6:30 pm in Council chambers

Fire:  N/A

Fire Dependency Board:  N/A

Grant Applications:  N/A

Insurance:  N/A

Ordinance:  Met last Monday.  Work is still in progress with revising ordinance.

Planning Commission:  Waiting on Regional Planning Commission to finalize their plans.

Pool:  Things are going smoothly at the Pool.  Revenue as of June 24th, $11,723.

Rep to Chamber of Commerce:  Working on Homecoming

Utility:   N/A

Clerk’s report:   Discussed Web page hosting quotes.  Clerk recommend Clover computer.
