Minutes of West Lafayette Village Council Regular Meeting on November 14, 2005

 

West Lafayette Village Council met in regular session at 7:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson presiding.

 

Pledge of Allegiance

 

Roll Call:          Dave Rogers, Roger Warne, Kelly Gossett, Ron Lusk, Christie Maurer and Stephen Bordenkircher were present.

 

A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the October 24, 2005 council meeting. (RC 6 yes)

 

Mayor’s Correspondence – Letter from Citizen Core in Coshocton.  Would like to create Neighbor Watch Program.  There will be a meeting November 29th at 7:00 pm in County Services Building Room B-100.

                        Letter from Lafayette Consolidate Government in Louisiana inviting Mayor to participate in events celebrating Marcus D’Lafayette 250th   in 2007.

Introduction to ordinances and resolutions: N/A

 

Reports:

Village Administrator:  Proposal for Water Well repair for Well number 3. Appropriations in the amount of $17,000.00 were made for 2006.

Police:   N/A

Annexation:  N/A

Community Service:  Maurer reminded council for information for newsletter.  Krasco replaced basket for Main Street that was stolen.

Finance:   Met and gave final review to 2006 Appropriations.  Bordenkircher feels they look pretty good.

Fire:   10 runs

Fire Dependency Board:  N/A

Grant Applications:  N/A

Insurance:  N/A

Ordinance:  N/A

Planning Commission:  Committee meeting was rescheduled for November 17th.

Pool:  N/A

Rep to Chamber of Commerce:  Christmas in the Village will be Saturday, December 3rd including Lions Pancake Breakfast from 6:30 am-10:00 am; Club Aries Craft Show at the High School 9:00 am – 2:00 pm and Parade at 1:00.

Utility:  N/A

Solicitor:   Meeting Wednesday night.

Clerk’s report:  Monthly expense and revenue reports available for review.  Fiscal Officer will be attending Year-End “look-like” report training December 8th in New Philadelphia.

 

Other Business:  A motion was made and seconded that council and fire department paychecks will be prepared November 28th. (RC 6 yes) Lusk showed council members, maps of Ground Water Resource, Existing Conditions and Future Expansion Maps  

 

Committee Meetings:

 

A motion was made and seconded to approve the payment of bills as presented.

(RC 6 yes)

 

A motion was made and seconded to adjourn until the next regular meeting on November 28, 2005 at 7:00 P.M. (RC 6 yes)
