West Lafayette Village Council met in regular session
at 7:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson
presiding.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll
Call: Dave Rogers, Roger Warne, Kelly Gossett, Ron Lusk, Christie
Maurer and Stephen Bordenkircher were present.
A motion
was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the December 12, 2005
council meeting. (RC 6 yes)

Introduction to ordinances and resolutions: Ordinance 2005-22: 2006
Permanent Annual Appropriations Ordinance. A Motion was made and
seconded to suspend the rules (RC 6yes). A Motion was made and seconded to
adopt Ordinance 2005-22. (RC 6 yes).

Fire Dependency Board: Report mailed to State

Ordinance: Review Noise ordinance after the
first of the year
Planning Commission: N/A
Pool: N/A
Rep to Chamber of Commerce: Working on banquet
with no definite date set yet.
Utility: Bordenkircher reminded council to
check for group rating for Workers Comp in January
Clerk’s report: Monthly revenue and expense
reports available for review. Letter from Direct Energy setting rates for
year. 2005 reconciliation and 2006 quarterly tax forms have been mailed.
Individual tax forms being prepared for mailing. Updates to Finance and
Payroll software have been made. Working on end of year.
Other
Business: A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Steve
Bordenkircher for 13 years of dedicated service to the village. Council
members expressed their thanks for his hard work for the village.
Mayor to
ask Bill Owens to attend January 9, 2006 council meeting.
Committee
Meetings: Mayor plans to keep committees the same with the addition of a
new building committee.
A motion
was made and seconded to approve the payment of bills as presented.

next regular meeting on January 9, 2006 at 7:00 P.M. (RC 6 yes)
