RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OHIO REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TO FILE AN
APPLICATION WITH THE STATE OF OHIO TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CLEAN OHIO
ASSISTANCE FUND AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the State of Ohio, Department of
Development, provides financial assistance to local governments for the
purpose of addressing local needs;
WHEREAS, the Village of West Lafayette, Ohio
wishes to participate in, and receive financial assistance for the
Brownfield Assessment of the former Penn-Michigan Building and
Brownfield Assessment at the Lagoon Site under the Clean Ohio Assistance
Fund and;
WHEREAS, the Village of West Lafayette, Ohio
wishes to direct and authorize the Ohio Regional Development Corporation to
act in connection with said Program’s Application, and provide such
additional information as may be required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
Village of West Lafayette, State of Ohio:
SECTION I: That the Village of West Lafayette
authorizes the President of the Ohio Regional Development Corp. to file a
Clean Ohio Council, Clean Ohio Assessment Fund Application with the State of
Ohio, Department of Development, and to provide all information and
documentation required in said Application for submission.
SECTION II: That the Village of West Lafayette
hereby approves the filing of said application.
SECTION III: That the Village of West Lafayette
hereby understands and aggress that participation in said Program will
require compliance with program guidelines and assurances.
SECTION IV: That the Village of West Lafayette
hereby commits itself to provide its local share of funding, described in
the application.
SECTION V: That this resolution be declared an
emergency measure with respect to the health, safety, and welfare of the
residents of the Village of West Lafayette, Ohio, and therefore shall take
effect immediately upon passage by Council.
