A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING OF THE APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

WHEREAS, the Village of West Lafayette, Ohio intends to apply for funds to do an assessment of the needs for the cleanup of the location in or near the former Penn-Michigan plant, and;

WHEREAS, the Village of West Lafayette, Ohio does need to appoint a person to sign the application, and sign all required papers pertaining to the project;

Be it therefore resolved that the Mayor of West Lafayette, Ohio shall be authorized to sign all applications, or forms required in the application and grant process for the assessment and cleanup of the former Penn-Michigan plant and associated land.

The ordinance shall be declared an emergency measure, the emergency being to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the Village of West Lafayette, Ohio, and therefore shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
