Minutes of West Lafayette Village Council Regular Meeting on February 27, 2006

 

West Lafayette Village Council met in regular session at 7:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson presiding.

 

Pledge of Allegiance

 

Roll Call:          Dave Rogers, Roger Warne, Kelly Gossett, Ron Lusk, Christie Maurer and Gary Loos were present.

 

A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the February 13, 2006 council meeting. (RC 6 yes)

 

Mayor’s Correspondence – Bulletin from Time Warner detailing services.  Cleveland Indians games will be available, however, not sure if it is in this area.

 

Citizens’ comments – Gary Fischer, Candidate for Coshocton County Commissioner

 

Introduction to ordinances and resolutions:

ORDINANCE 2006-03: Ordinance to regulate noise.  First reading

 

Reports:

Village Administrator:   Letter received from Edna Almack requesting lot split.  Council requested they have input from other party and definite footage involved.

Police:  N/A

Annexation:  N/A

Community Service:  Newsletter is being proofed and should be ready for mailing next week.

Finance:   Met and reviewed reports.  Discussed revenue and appropriations process.

Fire:   11 fire calls for month of Feb.  Lusk gave members of committee book of Standard Operating Procedures for the Fire Dept for their review.

Fire Dependency Board:  N/A

Grant Applications:   Working on formula grants for next year

Insurance:  N/A

Ordinance:   N/A

Planning Commission:  Continuing to search for a secretary.

Pool:  Met and discussed pool operations.

Rep to Chamber of Commerce:  Yellow Flag Days; May 5th – 6th.

Utility:  N/A

Building:  N/A

Clerk’s report:  Monthly expense and revenue reports available for council.

Other Business:   Lusk passed maps for land use for council to review.  Meeting for Economic Development March 7th. 5:00 pm at the Coshocton County Career Center.
