Minutes of West Lafayette Village Council Special Meeting on June 30, 2006

West Lafayette Village Council met in special session at 6:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson presiding.

Pledge of Allegiance

Roll Call:          Dave Rogers, Roger Warne, Kelly Gossett, Ron Lusk, Christie Maurer and Gary Loos were present.

A motion was made and seconded to accept the resignation of Fiscal Officer, Dru Prater, effective July 12th.  (RC 6 yes)

Prater has agreed to work extra days to keep village payroll and pay bills as needed.

A motion was made and seconded to place an employment ad in the Coshocton Tribune, Newcomerstown News and Times Reporter running Thursday July 6^th, Friday July 7^th, Saturday July 8^th and Sunday July 9^th.  Deadline for applications is July 17^th at 4:00 pm.

Mayor Patterson appointed a committee of Rogers, Warne and Loos to review applications.

Mayor Patterson presented council with a letter from Chad Haines resigning as Utility Foreman. Haines will continue employment with the village as a Class I laborer. A motion was made and seconded to accept resignation (RC 4 yes 2 no).  Motion passed.  Village Administrator recommended leaving position of foreman unfilled at this time.  Council agreed.

A motion was made and seconded to adjourn until the next regular meeting on July 10, 2006 at 7:00 P.M. (RC 6 yes)
