West Lafayette Village Council met in regular session
at 7:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson
presiding.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll
Call: Dave Rogers, Roger Warne, Kelly Gossett, Ron Lusk, Christie
Maurer and Gary Loos were present.
A motion
was made by council member Loos and seconded by council member Rogers to
approve the minutes of the October 23, 2006 council meeting. (RC 5 yes)
Mayor’s
Correspondence – Mayor read a brief summary over the OEPA bulletin
discussing the project in Coshocton County.

Introduction to ordinances and resolutions:
2006-17 RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE 2006 PERMANENT
APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE 2005-22, ADDING FUNDS. A motion was made by
council member Rogers and seconded by council member Gossett to suspend the
rules. (RC 6 yes) Motion made by council member Lusk and seconded by council
member Rogers to adopt Resolution 2006-17. (RC 6 yes)
2006-18 RESOLUTION TO TRANSFER MONIES. A motion
was made by council member Rogers and seconded by council member Maurer to
suspend the rules. (RC 6 yes) Motion made by council member Rogers and
seconded by council member Loos to adopt Resolution 2006-18. (RC 6 yes)

Village Administrator:
Pool contract signed with the Coshocton County Career Center, Building
Trades, to replace the roof on the pool building. The CMI upgrade will begin
on Thursday. Chris Osbourne of OEPA will be in on Thursday morning.
Police: Free gun safety
locks for village residents are available at the Police Department.
Presented monthly police report.

Ordinance: Committee
presented the 2007 wage and benefit draft ordinance for Lisa to prepare for
1st reading on the next council meeting.

Pool: N/A
Rep to Chamber of Commerce:
Christmas in the Village is December 2, 2006.
Utility: Mayor is
negotiating to have West Main Street striped professionally. Price quoted at
approximately $515 to paint the edge lines starting at the village limits by
Home Loan Bank to the stoplight on the corner of Main and Oak Street. The
striping will be this week. Council member Lusk made a motion to have West
Main Street striped. Motioned seconded by council member Rogers. ( RC 6 yes)

Clerk’s report: N/A
The last day for un bagged leaves to be picked up is
December 1.
Council member Rogers will get in touch with village
solicitor, Bill Owens, to discuss continuing service with the village for
2007.
Schedule committee meetings
Finance Committee will met on November 20th
at 6:00pm.

was made by council member Lusk and seconded by council member Loos to
approve the payment of bills as presented. (RC 6 yes)
A motion was made by council member Lusk and seconded
by council member Gossett to adjourn until the next regular meeting on
November 27, 2006 at 7:00 P.M. (RC 6 yes)
