West Lafayette Village Council met in regular session
at 7:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson
presiding.
Pledge of Allegiance

Call: Dave Rogers, Roger Warne, Kelly Gossett, Ron Lusk, Christie
Maurer and Gary Loos were present.
A motion
was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the December 11, 2006
council meeting (RC 6 yes).

Introduction to ordinances and resolutions:
ORDINANCE 2006-20- AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH 2007
BENEFIT, PAY SCHEDULE/SCALE FOR THE VILLAGE OF WEST LAFAYETTE AND REPEALING
ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH A motion was made by
council member Lusk and seconded by council member Warne to adopt ordinance
2006-20 (RC 6 yes). Motion was made by council member Loos and seconded by
council member Lusk to declare ordinance 2006-20 an emergency ordinance. (RC
6 yes)
ORDINANCE 2006-21- 2007 PERMANENT ANNUAL
APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE
A motion was made by council member Rogers and seconded
by council member Lusk to suspend the rules (RC 6 yes). A motion was made by
council member Lusk and seconded by council member Warne to adopt ordinance
2006-21 with the section III emergency clause (RC 6 yes).

VA reported that the salt spreader would not be purchased now do to an
additional bill received for The Shelly Company for the summer paving
project. VA also thanked everyone for another great year.

Clerk’s report: Lisa reported that
her end of year training in Columbus went well. Also, CMI was in on
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday training her for the new tax application. We
have received three fire contracts for 2007. Oxford township has not yet
been received.

was made by council member Lusk to go into executive session to discuss
village personnel and seconded by council member Rogers (RC 6 yes).
A motion
was made by council member Rogers and seconded by council member Gossett to
return to regular session (RC 6 yes).

was made and seconded to approve the payment of bills as presented.

A motion was made by council member Lusk and seconded
by council member Gossett to adjourn until the next regular meeting on
January 8, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. (RC 6 yes)
