Minutes of West Lafayette Village Council Regular Meeting on January 8, 2007

West Lafayette Village Council met in regular session at 7:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson presiding.

Pledge of Allegiance

Roll Call:          Dave Rogers, Roger Warne, Kelly Gossett, Ron Lusk, Christie Maurer and Gary Loos were present.

A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the December 18, 2006 council meeting. (RC 6 yes)

Mayor’s Correspondence –

Mayor Patterson made 2007 Committee appointments.  Committees stay the same as 2006.

A motion was made by council member Lusk and seconded by council member Warne to acknowledge Dave Rogers as Council President.

Mayor Patterson presented council with State of Village address.

Citizens’ comments – N/A

Reports:

Village Administrator: VA reported the cost to replace the broken filters will be paid for by the insurance company. Cells 1 and 2 have been started and cells 3 and 4 will begin later tonight. Chris Osburn from the Ohio EPA will be here tomorrow morning to start the soil gas wells.

Clerk’s report: Received 2007 certificate of annual election of board members for volunteer fire fighters’ dependents board. This must be completed, signed and returned by January 31, 2007. 2006 tax forms will be ready for distribution later this week at the Post Office and Library.

A motion was made by council member Lusk and seconded by council member Gossett to approve the payment of bills as presented.

A motion was made by council member Lusk and seconded by council member Warne to adjourn until the next regular meeting on January 22, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. (RC 6 yes)
