West Lafayette Village Council met in regular session
at 7:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson
presiding.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll
Call: Dave Rogers, Roger Warne, Kelly Gossett, Ron Lusk, Christie
Maurer and Gary Loos were present.
A motion
was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the June 11, 2007 council
meeting. (RC 6 yes)
Mayor’s
Correspondence – Memo from Coshocton County Commissioners announcing that
they are holding they annual auction on August 2nd.
Citizens’
comments – Tiffany Shairer was introduced as the new trainee representing
WTNS. Council member Ron asked everyone to write down where they expected
the village to be in 10 years and bring it to the next council meeting.
Introduction to ordinances and resolutions:
2007-14 A
RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE 2007 PERMANENT APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE 2006-21,
ADDING FUNDS Grant money received from the
Janet Jones Mulligan Aquatic Fund. Council member Rogers made a motion to
suspend the rules. Motion seconded by council member Lusk. (RC 6 yes)
Council member Lusk made a motion to adopt resolution 2007-14. Motion
seconded by council member Rogers. (RC6 yes)

Meetings:
Village Administrator:
Council member Rogers and Mayor Patterson discovered several repairs needed
at the pool and park areas. All repairs have been done. All street
department workers are continuing their normal job duties. Hydrants in the
village will be flushed starting on Tuesday the 26th thru
Wednesday. Well #2 is down due to electrical problems. Repair people
discovered a malfunctioning valve causing air pockets. We had switched to
well #3.

Community Service: N/A
Finance: Committee met this evening
before council. 2008 budget is wrapped up. Budget hearing is scheduled at
6:15 pm prior to next council meeting on July 9, 2007.
Fire: Getting ready for the
Homecoming.

Grant Applications: Working on Issue

Planning Commission: N/A
Pool: Repairs have been done. Grant
money received from Janet Jones Mulligan Aquatic Fund will help the village
purchase a new chlorine monitor. The village will pay $500.00 towards the
purchase of the monitor.
Utility: N/A
Building: N/A
Clerk’s report: Lisa reported it
would be approximately $350 each to run the Village Administrator ad in the
Times Reporter, Times Recorder and Coshocton Tribune. Council member Rogers
made a motion to authorize Lisa to place the ad in these 3 publications.
Council member Gossett seconded this motion. (RC 6 yes)
A motion
was made by council member Loos and seconded by council member Gossett to
approve the payment of bills as presented.

A motion was made by council member Lusk and seconded
by council member Gossett to adjourn until the next regular meeting on July
9, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. (RC 6 yes)
