West Lafayette Village Council met in regular session
at 7:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson
presiding.

Call: Dave Rogers, Roger Warne, Kelly Gossett, Ron Lusk, Christie
Maurer and Gary Loos were present.
A motion
was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the May 12,
2008 council meeting. (RC 6 yes)
Mayor’s
Correspondence
West
Lafayette Trustee’s dropped off JED contract regarding 200 acre industrial
park site.
Citizens’
comments – Alan McCormick expressed his concerns regarding a request made in
2004 asking the village to vacate property between him and Mike Householder.
Mayor and Council had a discussion trying to remember the action taken in
2004. Mayor asked Alan to resubmit a current request and he would look into
this matter again.

2008-14
A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE 2008 PERMANENT APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE
2007-35, ADDING FUNDS.
This additional appropriation is grant
money received from the Clean Ohio Fund to pay for the Brownfield Project.
Council Member Rogers made a motion to suspend the rules. Motion seconded by
Council Member Lusk. (RC 6 yes) Council Member Lusk made a motion to adopt
Resolution 2008-14. Motion seconded by Council Member Loos. (RC 6 yes)

Village Administrator:
Mayor reported receiving two quotes from local contractors to build a 32 x
16x 8 pole building addition. After talking with John Newell, Mayor agreed
that more storage space is needed for proper and more convenient storage.
Mayor also reported that Tye Twarog started employment today.
Police: Chief Mardis
reported that he and his employees have recently attended 6 training
classes.

Pool: New garage door
installed. A-1 Concrete came last week and elevated the slab area. Dean
Wears is working with Ray Hamilton to get the ice machine fixed. Hoping to
start painting pool later this week.

taken in regular session.
A motion was made by Council Member Lusk and seconded
by Council Member Loos to adjourn until the next regular meeting on June 9,
2008 at 7:00 P.M. (RC 6 yes)
