Reports:
Village Administrator:
VA reported that the storage tank on the North end of town needs internal
inspection just as the tank on the South side did. Estimated cost of this is
$5,000 depending on amount of sediment in tank.
The Street department is currently working to
get ready for the Hometown Festival. Street workers are cleaning and
painting curbs. Due to less street workers than in the past, we are unable
to clean and trim all the curbs in the village therefore, the Village
Administrator asks for residents to help with this matter.
VA also reports that the 16 x
44 building addition is near completion.
Issue II will begin mid to
late August. This is going to cost an additional $12,000 due to material
cost increase.
VA asks Council to formally name Water Street
since it is not lawfully named. Council Member Lusk made a motion to
formally name this street Water Street. Motion seconded by Council Member
Loos. (RC 6 yes)
We had several people ask
about getting the recycle trailers in the village. VA reported that he has
been in contact with the recycling company and looking at possibly putting a
trailer in the old Dale Gress lot on Main Street. After much discussion,
Council and Mayor have several question and concerns regarding this matter.
The VA will following up with this company.
VA recognized Shannon and
Lisa’s extra work since Council decided not to replace the billing clerk
that resigned two months ago. Dave recommended to council to increase
Shannon and Lisa’s salary $.50 per hour. Council Member Rogers made a motion
to increase both salaries by $.50 per hour. Motion seconded by Council
Member Lusk. (RC 6 yes)

Langdon and Jordan Forbes to Council and Mayor for their approval to appoint
them as part-time officers. Council Member Warne made a motion to accept
