West Lafayette Village Council met in regular session
at 7:00 P.M., in the municipal building with Mayor Jack L. Patterson
presiding.

Maurer and Gary Loos were present.
A motion
was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the December 08,
2008 council meeting. (RC 6 yes)

Correspondence –Mayor and Council received Christmas card from Bill Owens.
Notice from OEPA regarding wastewater treatment for Fresno.

Village Administrator:
FEMA applications for reimbursement are complete. The village should receive
reimbursement between $13,000 - $25,000. We received 37 applications for the
water/ wastewater technician position from Job and Family Services. All
applications have been reviewed and narrowed down to the top ten. These
applicants will be scheduled for an aptitude test in the beginning of
January.

Fire: 14 runs. Christmas dinner went
well. Lisa sent out the fire contracts beginning of December. As of today,
we have received Linton twp, Lafayette twp, and White Eyes twp.

Planning Commission: N/A
Pool: Red Cross would like to know
if pool would be available again for swimming lessons July 13th –
24th. Lusk made a motion to approve allowing Red Cross to use
pool for swimming lessons contingent upon pool opening for the 2009 season.
