RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE VILLAGE OF WEST LAFAYETTE, STATE OF OHIO TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AND EXECUTE CONTRACTS ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE OF WEST LAFAYETTE CONCERNING THE COSHOCTON COUNTY’S COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM.

WHEREAS, It is deemed by the Council of the Village of West Lafayette, State of Ohio, that it is in the best interest of the Village of West Lafayette to have the Mayor apply to the CDBG for funding for the Community Ball Field Project.

WHEREAS, it is necessary to pass a Resolution to authorize the approval of behalf of the Village of West Lafayette, State of Ohio.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it Resolved by the Council of the Village of West Lafayette, Ohio:

SECTION 1: That the Mayor of the Village of West Lafayette is authorized to sign and submit the necessary documents to Coshocton County on behalf of the Village of West Lafayette, State of Ohio, an application for funding for improvements.

SECTION 2:  Village Council declares this to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of public peace, health, safety, welfare and morals, such emergency arising out of the necessity to proceed with the project in a timely manner.  

WHEREFORE, this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
