Ordinance No.: 2008-17 Passed: June 23, 2008
WHEREAS a Village Administrator is being hired; and,
WHEREAS he has elected to refrain from requesting medical insurance;
Now therefore, be it ordained by the Council of the Village of West Lafayette, State of Ohio as follows:
SECTION I. Section 10. Health & Life Insurance:
A. The Village Administrator, Police Chief, and Clerk-Fiscal Officer may elect not to receive medical, dental, or vision insurance and they may receive an amount equal to the Village’s cost of said insurance for them and their family, not to exceed Five Thousand and 00/100 ($5,000.00) Dollars in the aggregate as additional salary.
SECTION II. Section 4. Rates of Compensation:
Village Administrator $41,000.00 annual paid biweekly (medical insurance reimbursement included)
SECTION III. That all provisions of the Ordinance not amended herein remain in full force and effect.
SECTION IV. That this Ordinance shall be and is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary to preserve the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of the Village of West Lafayette, Ohio, the emergency being the necessity of hiring a Village Administrator, and shall take effect immediately upon passage by Council
