A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FREDERICK T. WACHTEL, COSHOCTON COUNTY ENGINEER, TO PREPARE AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE OHIO PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION STATE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT AND/OR LOCAL TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS AND TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS AS REQUIRED
Whereas, the State Capital Improvement Program and the Local Transportation Improvement Program both provide financial assistance to political subdivisions for capital improvements to public infrastructure, and
Whereas, the Village of West Lafayette and County Engineer are planning to make capital improvements known as County OPWC Resurfacing Program - 2009, and
Whereas, the infrastructure improvement herein above described is considered to be a priority need for the community and is a qualified project under OPWC programs,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the VILLAGE OF WEST LAFAYETTE:
Section 1: Frederick T. Wachtel, Coshocton County Engineer, is hereby authorized to apply to the OPWC for funds as described above.
Section 2: Frederick T. Wachtel, Coshocton County Engineer, is hereby authorized to enter into any agreements as may be necessary and appropriate for obtaining this financial assistance.
Section 3: Frederick T. Wachtel, Coshocton County Engineer, is hereby authorized to enter into Cooperative Agreements with various cities, villages, and townships in Coshocton County to make this joint application, and to serve as the lead agency for this project.
Section 4: Each participating entity will be required to pay their local match for the project as determined by Frederick T. Wachtel, Coshocton County Engineer.
